Ingredients

  • Approximately 3 cups of roasted chicken
  • Pork equivalent to 3 cups when pulled and cooked
  • 2 cups of fresh Lima
  • 2 cups of whole corn
  • The equivalent of three cups of potatoes
  • Chicken stock, 4 cups
  • 1 15-ounce can of tomatoes
  • 2 cups of BBQ sauce
  • 3 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
  • Garlic 4 cloves
  • Two teaspoons of black pepper
  • Cayenne pepper, one teaspoon
  • Four Bay Leaves
  • Pre-cooked early peas one 16-ounce can
  • Unsalted butter
  • Cornbread
  • Coleslaw

Instructions

  • In a saucepan, melt butter over medium-low heat
  • Combine the ketchup, guldens, mustard, and white vinegar
  • Blend the ingredients until smooth
  • Add minced garlic, freshly ground black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, fresh lemon juice, and spicy sauce
  • Stir continuously until the required consistency is reached
  • Add dark brown sugar. Simmer for approximately 10 minutes over moderate heat
  • Put the sauce aside
  • Melt butter or olive oil in a large pot over low heat
  • Next, cook the onions and garlic in a skillet for about 7 minutes, or until aromatic
  • Bring to boil potatoes, carrots, and chicken stock
  • Continue stirring the potatoes until they are nearly done
  • Stir in the chicken shreds, pulled pork, bay leaves, smashed tomatoes, baby lima beans, and corn kernels to the soup
  • Reduce the heat and simmer the mixture slowly for two hours
  • Serve and enjoy
