Ingredients

  • Salsa mix, taco seasoning, two teaspoons
  • Minced garlic (two cloves of garlic)
  • A couple of tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 2 limes (juiced)
  • To sweeten, 1 tsp. of brown sugar
  • Boneless 2 lb. (skinless chicken thigh meat, cut into 1-inch cubes)
  • 1/2 of a head of iceberg lettuce (shredded)
  • Tomatoes, Roma: 2 (diced)
  • Fresh queso cheese, either crumbled or shredded. Cheddar 1/2 cup of cheese
  • 8 tortillas made from flour

Instructions

  • Mix the lime juice, garlic, taco seasoning mix, 1 tablespoon of oil, and brown sugar together to prepare the chicken. For four to five hours, massage the marinade into the meat. Cut the chicken into 1-inch pieces after the marinade has been drained.
  • The final tablespoon of oil is heated in a pan over medium heat. Chicken should be cooked thoroughly and lightly browned while being stirred occasionally. Chicken should be heated up and then removed.
  • You can alternatively barbecue the chicken over hot coals until it is well-cooked and beautifully browned. Cut into 1-inch pieces after removing from heat.
  • The tortillas should be warmed and malleable after being cooked in an oiled skillet over medium heat for 20 to 30 seconds on each side.
  • Additionally, you can microwave 4 to 5 tortillas while protecting them with a wet paper towel. Every 30 seconds, keep microwaving until the food is heated.
  • Place the chicken in the middle of a tortilla that has been warmed, top with lettuce and tomato, drizzle over secret sauce, and then top with cheese.
