  • Deep-fryer or large skillet
  • Tongs
  • Paper towels

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  • Preheat the deep-fryer or large skillet to 375°F.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the cornstarch, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels and then coat them in the seasoning mix.
  • Working in batches, fry the wings in the hot oil for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Use tongs to place wings from the oil to a paper towel, to drain excess oil.
