Preheat the deep-fryer or large skillet to 375°F.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the cornstarch, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels and then coat them in the seasoning mix.
Working in batches, fry the wings in the hot oil for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
Use tongs to place wings from the oil to a paper towel, to drain excess oil.
In a separate mixing bowl, toss the wings in the BBQ sauce until evenly coated.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
