Fish Dipping Tartar Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise; try making your mayo
  • 1 small dill pickle, very finely diced (3 tablespoons)
  • 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice, plus more if desired
  • 1 tablespoon chopped capers if desired
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill or 1 tablespoon minced dill
  • Worcestershire sauce, half to one teaspoon
  • 1/2 tsp optional Dijon mustard
  • Freshly ground black pepper and salt

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, stir the mayonnaise, pickles, lemon juice, capers, dill, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard until smooth and creamy.
  • Salt and pepper it. Adjust with lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  • For optimal flavor, cover and refrigerate for a minimum of 30 minutes.
  • Refrigerate for one week with a tightly sealed lid.
