Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, beaten egg, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Just ensure all the ingredients are mixed well.
Transfer the meat mixture and give the loaf shape into a baking dish or loaf pan.
In a small bowl, whisk together the ingredients for the glaze: ketchup, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard.
Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf, using a spoon or a pastry brush.
If desired, cover the baking dish with aluminum foil to help retain moisture during cooking.
Place the meatloaf in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). If you have a cooking thermometer, you can insert it into the center of the meatloaf to check the temperature.
Take out meatloaf from the oven when cooked. Before slicing let it rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.
Serve the meatloaf warm, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
