Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped apples
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup raisins

Instructions

  • Before you begin, set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  • Combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, then add the vegetable oil, sour cream, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  • Combine the liquid ingredients with the dry ones and stir until they are just combined together.
  • Gently fold in the chopped apples, walnuts, and raisins.
  • Pour the batter onto the prepared baking sheet and shape it into a loaf.
  • Bake for about 45-50 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the Waldorf Bread to cool before slicing and serving.
