Ingredients

  • 1.5 ounces of beef ground
  • 2 teaspoons of garlic powder and 3 tablespoons of dry chopped onion
  • Season with salt and pepper
  • The equivalent of three to four cups of beef broth
  • 1-pound bag of egg noodles
  • 1 drained 15-ounce can of corn
  • 2 (10.5-ounce) cans condensed soup (one can tomato and one can cream of mushroom)
  • Sour cream, one eight-ounce container
  • Shredded cheese, equal parts sharp cheddar and mozzarella (2 cups total)

Instructions

  • Warm a 9x13 casserole dish in a 375°F oven.
  • Brown beef with dried onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain.
  • Reheat the skillet. Add 3.5 cups beef broth to browned bits.
  • Noodles and corn. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 5-8 minutes, stirring often, until noodles are cooked (if noodles look dry, add up to 1/2 cup extra liquid).
  • When the noodles are done and most of the broth is gone, turn off the heat.
  • Stir in soup cans, sour cream, and cheese. Add the remaining cheese to a casserole dish.
