Baked Chicken Wings Recipe

I regularly cook this recipe. It's pretty simple to bake wings instead of frying them, and they come out beautifully crispy. They're a hit with my entire family, who keeps requesting them!

Ingredients

  • I usually purchase fresh chicken wings in trays marked "party wings," divided into flats and drumettes with the tips cut off
  • Salted butter is used in this dish. Spraying the chicken using olive oil is an option available to dipping it in butter.
  • I love using kosher salt. Even if your salt level is okay you may want to use less of it to avoid oversalting your food
  • Paprika and garlic powder are two of my favorite seasonings. The smoked variety is also an option.
  • Onion powder can be substituted for or added to garlic powder.

Instructions

  • The wings should be dipped in melted butter (or sprayed liberally with oil) and seasoned with salt and pepper
  • Prepare a trivet and a lined sheet pan for the cookies
  • Bake until well done, nicely browned, and deliciously crunchy!
