Ingredients

  • 2 ribeye steaks (1-inch thick)
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Season the steaks with salt and pepper.
  • Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  • Add the steaks to the pan and sear for 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Remove the steaks from the pan and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add the onion and garlic and cook until softened.
  • Add the beef broth, soy sauce, and thyme to the pan and bring to a simmer.
  • Place the seared steaks in the crockpot.
  • Pour the broth mixture over the steaks.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  • Remove the steaks from the crockpot and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
