Ingredients

  • 4 eggs (separated)
  • 3 ounces of Southern Comfort (or spiced bourbon or spiced rum)
  • 2 cups of whole milk
  • One cup of Whole Cream
  • Sugar, white or brown 1/3 cup plus 1 teaspoon
  • Seeds from a vanilla bean
  • 1 teaspoon grated nutmeg
  • One-half of a teaspoon of cinnamon powder

Instructions

  • Place the egg yolks in a big bowl after separating them from the whites. Save the whites in reserve for later use.
  • The eggs should be beaten until they are a lighter color. Stir in 1/3 cup sugar gradually. Beat until sugar is completely dissolved.
  • Slowly add the Southern Comfort, vanilla bean seeds, nutmeg, cinnamon, milk, and cream.
  • Beat the mixture for a further minute after all the ingredients have been mixed. To reuse the beaters to beat the egg whites, make sure you thoroughly rinse them.
  • In another dish, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. While beating, gradually add the sugar.
  • Gradually incorporate the peaky egg whites into the eggnog mixture. Place it in the fridge and let it sit there for a few hours.
  • Stir all the ingredients together before serving. Because chilling will cause the ingredients to separate.
