Ingredients

  • 1 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar

Instructions

  • In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, black pepper, and sugar. Make sure to add all the ingredients and whisk until they are well blended.
  • Slowly drizzle the extra virgin olive oil into the bowl while continuously whisking the mixture. This will help emulsify the dressing and create a smooth consistency.
  • Once all the olive oil has been added and the dressing is thoroughly combined, taste and adjust the seasonings according to your preference.
  • Use a jar or airtight container to transfer the dressing, and refrigerate for up to 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  • Shake well Before using to recombine the separated ingredients. Drizzle over your favorite salad greens and enjoy!
