Combine all-purpose flour, baking powder, granulated sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl. Mix well.
In the dry ingredients add the cold, cubed butter. Incorporate butter till the mixture resembles coarse crumbs by using your fingers or a pastry cutter.
Now, gently add warm water to bowl, and mix till the soft dough forms. Knead the dough to make it smooth and elastic.
Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Now properly line up baking sheet with parchment paper.
On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a rectangle with a thickness of about 1/8 inch.
Now slice the dought to make thin strips of 1/2 inch wide and inches long by using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
Twist each strip gently to create the classic Taco Bell Cinnamon Twists shape.
Place the twists on the prepared baking sheet and bake for about 10-12 minutes until they turn golden brown.
While the twists are baking, prepare the cinnamon sugar coating. In a shallow bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
Remove the twists from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
Carefully fry the twists in small batches until they become crispy and lightly golden. Drain excess oil by transferring the twist to a paper towel with a slotted spoon.
While the twists are still warm, toss them in the cinnamon sugar coating until they are evenly coated.
Allow the Taco Bell Cinnamon Twists to cool completely before serving.
