Oven Baked French Fries

When it comes to French fries, nothing beats a Russet potato. Because their skins are thicker and drier than those of other potatoes, they crisp up nicely in the oven, making them ideal for baked fries.

Ingredients

  • Oversized potatoes: 4
  • Oil, about 2 to 4 tablespoons worth
  • Suggested Seasoning: 1 Tablespoon Seasoned Salt and 1 Tablespoon of lemon pepper

Instructions

  • Set the oven to 375°F
  • Don't peel potatoes after washing (you can peel them if you prefer). Cut potatoes into the required size of fries
  • Place potatoes in a bowl or sink filled with cold water for at least thirty minutes
  • Remove from water and thoroughly dry
  • Add oil and seasonings, then toss. Spread on a parchment-lined baking sheet
  • Twenty-minute bake
  • Increase the oven temperature to 425 degrees and cook the fries until golden, about 20 to 25 minutes more
