Ingredients

  • 4 large sweet potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook the Sweet Potatoes: Boil or steam the diced sweet potatoes until they are fork-tender. Drain and mash them using a potato masher.
  • Mix Wet Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed sweet potatoes with softened butter, sugar, milk, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Use an electric mixer to blend the ingredients until smooth.
  • Prepare the Baking Dish: Grease a baking dish and transfer the sweet potato mixture into it, spreading it evenly.
  • Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 30-40 minutes or until the soufflé is set and the top is golden brown.
