Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl.
Add the vegetable oil and warm water, then mix until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for a few minutes until it's smooth.
Separate the dough into 8 equal parts and roll them into balls.
Roll each ball into a thin, round tortilla using a rolling pin.
Over medium-high heat put a non-stick skillet or griddle and heat.
Cook each tortilla for about 30 seconds on each side, or until it puffs up and has golden brown spots.
Keep the tortillas warm by covering them with a clean kitchen towel until serving.
