King Hawaiian Rolls Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Warm the milk in a small saucepan, then add the yeast and a pinch of sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
  • Combine the flour, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.
  • Melt the butter and add it to the yeast mixture, along with the eggs.
  • Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and stir until a dough is created.
  • Knead the dough to get it smooth and elastic, then place it in a greased bowl. Cover and let it rise for 1-2 hours.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Punch down the dough and mold it into small rolls.
  • Place the rolls on a baking sheet and let them rise for another 15-20 minutes.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until they're golden brown.
  • Brush with melted butter while still warm. Enjoy!
