Pioneer Woman Cheeseburger Casserole

Pioneer Woman Cheeseburger Casserole

The ingredients for the Pioneer Woman’s cheeseburger casserole include ground beef, onion, macaroni, lots of cheese, and Italian seasoning. It’s excellent for a weekday meal when paired with a tossed green salad because it’s so full and hearty.

Cheeseburger Casserole, Created by a Pioneer Woman

To make her famous cheeseburger casserole, Ree uses ground beef, onions, cooked macaroni, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper, and a blend of cheeses like mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan.

You can make this cheeseburger casserole your own by adding whatever spices and cheeses you like.

Tips for thawing frozen Cheeseburger Casserole

Here’s what you’ll find in the fridge: It will take between 12 and 24 hours for your frozen cheeseburger to defrost in the refrigerator.

Wet and Comfy: If you freeze your cheeseburger casserole in individual servings and thaw them in warm water, you may have a delicious meal in less than two hours. Each frozen serving only needs a few minutes in a warm water bath (not boiling water) to defrost.

Currently Baking: Set the oven to 350°F. Put the frozen cheeseburger casserole servings in a baking dish straight from the freezer bags you’ve been storing them in. You can thaw it in the oven for around twenty-five minutes. Next, heat casserole portions to 165°F.

To complement the Cheeseburger Casserole

Cheeseburger casserole goes well with crackers, biscuits, mashed potatoes, and/or a green salad. One of my favorite combinations is cheeseburger casserole with roasted vegetables like carrots, asparagus, or cucumbers and dipping sauces like mayonnaise or mustard.

In addition to cheeseburger casserole, you can serve these other dishes:

Cheeseburger Casserole Storage Instructions

In the Fridge: The casserole can be kept for four days. Wait until the dish is cool before refrigerating it. After that, you can refrigerate it by wrapping it in plastic. Additionally, cheeseburger casserole can be portioned out and stored in airtight glass containers for later warming.

In the Freezer: You can freeze cheeseburger casserole for up to 3 months. Divide the casserole into servings before freezing. Freeze it by placing individual servings in freezer bags with enough headroom for expansion (approximately 1/2 inch). The casserole can be readily reheated from frozen if you freeze it in individual servings.
